March for Life
For specific information about the 2012 March for Life pilgrimage, please see the detailed Flyer and Registration Form.
Life is the most precious gift given to us by God. The protection of life from the moment of conception to the time of natural death is the primary objective of every member of the Knights of Columbus. Each January, our council sponsors a bus trip to the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C.
In addition to the March from the National Mall to the Supreme Court, our pilgrimage also includes ample time for prayer as a group, as well as a great deal of fun. On certain years, the pilgrimage runs over night to provide an opportunity to attend the Prayer Vigil for Life at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
Food and beverages are provided by the Council, and our chaplain leads us in a recitation of all twenty mysteries of the Rosary over the course of the bus rides.
The March is held annually on January 22, the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, unless January 22 falls on a weekend or federal holiday.
We invite you to join us for the next March for Life!
